The verdict
- If you’re on Lodgify Starter or above, you already have a capable direct booking website with no booking fee. Start there.
- Its limit is the one every template builder has: you write and maintain the pages yourself.
- Add a separate site only if you want the writing, local guides and booking-source reporting done for you, and the extra monthly cost makes sense for your bookings.

Lodgify lists a 0% booking fee on every plan and says it takes no commission on bookings. Yearly billing is cheaper, and in late September 2026 a promotion cut some yearly prices further, so check the current offer. Prices vary with the number of properties. There is a 7-day free trial with no card required.
What the website builder includes
- Customizable, mobile-friendly templates.
- A booking engine that shows live availability and takes payment on your site.
- A custom domain; the free domain on annual plans is yours to keep.
- More than 30 languages.
- Editable meta titles, descriptions and URLs for search.
- A booking widget you can embed on another site, such as WordPress or Squarespace.
Payments run through Lodgify Payments, which Lodgify launched for US hosts in 2025 and prices at 2.9% + $0.30 for standard cards. Stripe and PayPal can also be connected.
Strengths
- One system: channels, calendar, website and payments in one account.
- No booking fee and no setup fee.
- Fast to launch; Lodgify says most hosts go live in under an hour.
- From Professional, your website can be listed on Google Vacation Rentals.
Sticking points
- You write it. You choose a template and add your own descriptions, FAQ and area pages. Most hosts stop at the basics, which leaves little for search engines to find.
- Measuring what works is up to you. Knowing which post or email produced a booking means setting up tracking yourself.
- The Basic plan has no website at all.
In May 2026 Lodgify announced a free “Direct” plan with an AI-generated direct booking website, described as available this summer. It wasn’t listed on Lodgify’s pricing page when we checked in September 2026. If it launches, it may change this picture, and we’ll update this review.
When to add STR Direct to Lodgify
STR Direct keeps Lodgify as your calendar and channel manager and adds a separate direct booking website on top of it. It drafts your pages, FAQ and local guide pages from your Lodgify listing for you to approve, takes payment into your own Stripe account, writes each booking back to Lodgify, and reports which post, guide or email brought each booking.
It costs $49.99 a month per published site, on top of your Lodgify plan, with no commission. That’s more than using the website Lodgify already includes, so it’s worth it only if the writing, the guides and the reporting matter to you. See how it compares with other options in our guide to the best vacation rental website builders.
